Orlando Halloween Activities

A visit to the Mouse is high on the list for a lot of vacationers heading to Orlando any time of year, including Halloween. Many of the theme parks host Halloween mayhem, but there is a myriad of other Halloween activities throughout Orlando, in addition to year-round fun and excitement. No matter how you celebrate an Orlando Halloween, there’s something for everyone.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and all your favorite Disney characters have concocted a spooky show full of family Halloween fun for all ages. After the Magic Kingdom closes for the evening, party attendees will enjoy party music, decorations, and more: it’s a Halloween party like no other. Make sure to dress in costume and bring your Trick-or-Treat bag to collect treats from characters in their Halloween best. The special event is ticketed separately from regular park entry. You’ll be able to enter the park as early as 4 p.m. on the date of your ticket, with festivities 7 p.m. – midnight. Tickets are still available for September 28, October 3, 22, 24, 26, 27, and 29, and November 1. Purchase tickets in advance online.

Avalon Park Spooktacular

Head downtown to Avalon Park. The Halloween event features trick-or-treating, performances, bounce houses, food trucks, and more. The free event takes place 5-9 p.m. on October 28.

Brick or Treat This Orlando Halloween

You can “build” the perfect Halloween for the family during the Brick or Treat event at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. The signature event features an all-new fireworks show, candy, spooktacular limited-time food offerings, and exclusive never-before-seen LEGO characters in their Halloween best. Join the monster party, featuring live entertainment, shows, limited-time attractions, character meet-and-greets, and more. “Brick-or-Treat” inside the park, collecting candy and treats from all over. The event is included with your daily ticket. September dates include the 16th, 23rd, and 30th, and October dates are 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29.

Gators, Ghosts, and Goblins

Head to Gatorland for a fright beyond seeing alligators spring from the water to snap food from trainers, or a trainer wrestle the beasts this Halloween in Orlando. This year, make sure to attend the 5th annual Halloween celebration perfect for all ages. The daytime bash features multiple themed haunt zones, interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets. Explore new haunt zones like The Creepy Creature Carnival and the Frightful Frontier. Kids can dress in costume and take part in the Children’s Halloween Costume Parade complete with treat bags. The event is included with regular park admission on October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29.

Halloween Horror Nights

Teens and adults can visit Universal Resort Orlando after dark now through November 4 for the scare of a lifetime. There are a number of haunted houses, including Stranger Things 4, The Exorcist: Believer, Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count, and more. Brave five scare zones, take in some live entertainment, or experience thrilling rides and attractions. You can also enjoy Halloween-themed food and drink. Shows may not be suitable for children under 13.

Howl-O-Scream

Evade the spooks as they rampage through “scare zones” and “roaming haunts” that follow you everywhere you go! Climb on the nighttime coaster ride, see a live monstrous show, and try to resist the haunting song of the sirens. The event is on select Friday and Saturday nights in September and select Thursday-Sunday nights in October all the way up to Halloween. The park opens for the event at 7 p.m. It is a separately ticketed event and tickets can be purchased on the SeaWorld Orlando website. The mature-audiences-only event contains blood, gore, violence, and other adult content. Please NO costumes.

The Escape Game Orlando

Gather your group for some Halloween fun. Work together to solve a series of clues and puzzles and break out the themed room in 60 minutes or less to win the game. There are different themed rooms to choose from, each with varying degrees of difficulty. Choose the theme, including select Halloween themes, or difficulty that’s right for you and make sure to book in advance.
