Since 2013, Orlando has also been home to the Orlando City Soccer Club, our first American Professional soccer team, and soon they are about to have a new place to play. The Orlando City Stadium is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2016. New team, new stadium; there are exciting things to come in the Orlando sporting world!
If semi-pro or minor league sports are what make your heart beat a little faster, The Orlando Kings-basketball, Orlando Predators-Arena Football, Orlando Solar Bears-ice hockey and Orlando Pride-soccer all claim Orlando as their home base. During the spring, Orlando’s incredible weather brings a few major league baseball teams to the area… Atlanta Braves spring training team are based out of Walt Disney World and Houston Astros call nearby Kissimmee their spring training home.
