Best Photography in Orlando

Your smart phone or camera will be full of pictures and videos by the time your vacation is through, no matter where in the world you go. Orlando has many attractions and activities, from theme parks to historic landmarks that have tourists flocking to the area – with their cameras – on a virtually daily basis. You’ll get pictures wherever you go, from dining and shopping establishments to all of your fun Orlando photography adventures, but you’ll want to make sure to get a pic at some of these very Insta-worthy locales around town. Again, don’t forget to bring your camera!

Orlando Postcard Mural

Big cities across the U.S. are attracting visitors with a nostalgia for postcards, and Orlando is no different. You’ll find the “Greetings From ORLANDO FLORIDA” postcard mural on the side of Uncle Tony’s Donut Shoppe. Don’t let the name fool you though, the donut shop doesn’t sell the sweet snack. Instead, you can find vinyl records from jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, Latin, Brazilian, African, and dance music from around the world. They even sell turntables, headphones, and everything else you could need to enjoy the tunes.

Orlando Photography At the Theme Parks

The Disney parks are home to some of the most iconic and photo-worthy places in Orlando. The Epcot “ball,” the luscious plant and flower sculptures, “hidden Mickey” areas, Cinderella’s castle, the Tree of Life, and many more. Get pics of the towering structures built of actual LEGO bricks at LEGOLAND or capture mid-air jumps and landing splashes of the majestic sea life at SeaWorld.

Lake Nona Town Center

Lake Nona offers plenty of photo-worthy spots you’ll want to snap a pic. Pose in front of the colorful building that’s considered one of the most colorful spots in the city! Once you’ve gotten your pic there, move on to the Glass House by Tom Fruin. The artist creates exhibits all over the world, including the multi-colored glass house. Capture the brilliant colors as the sun shines through for a sunny, happy feel to your photos.

Swing Mural

Head to the Downtown Winter Garden, just west of Orlando. Much like the postcard, the orange tree and swing is a beautiful mural located at Boyd Street and Plant Street and created by PJ Svejda. While you’re checking out the mural stop in for a coffee at Piccolo Coffee or grab a sweet at Way’s Chocolate.

Lake Louisa

If you’re looking for a peaceful, pretty backdrop for your photos, Lake Louisa is a hot spot. With 4,500 acres of untouched land, you’re sure to find a spot to take beautiful photographs, stage a family photo session, or an intimate moment like a marriage proposal.

Lake Eola Park

The park makes many lists of Orlando’s best photography spots. The public park is located in the heart of Downtown Orlando. There’s the lake itself, a fun paddleboat experience, a beautiful amphitheater, and more. Come back for some exercise along the 0.9-mile sidewalk that circles the park, or simply stroll along the path to find the next picture-worthy spot. Add even more color to your photos when you snap a picture of the Walt Disney Amphitheater. The rainbow colors stand out amongst the park greenery and add a splash to the water of the lake. With so many picture-perfect locations in one, it’s no surprise to see bridal parties, and maybe a marriage proposal with the lake as a backdrop.

Icon Park

Located on International Drive, the park has become a major tourist attraction – and photo op spot. The observation wheel, Madame Tussauds wax museum, the Orlando Eye Ferris wheel, SeaLife Orlando aquarium, and the carousel on the promenade are just a few of the things you’ll want to do, and photograph.

Kraft Azalea Gardens

Another place that makes the top of many “Insta-worthy” lists, you’ll want to make sure you snap a few yourself during your visit to the over five-acre public garden. Wander the property and get pictures of fountains, bridges, Greek pillars, stately cypress trees, and more. It’s a beautiful spot for photographs with friends, family, or capturing a special moment with your significant other. Make sure you snap some photography in Orlando around other parts of the 13-acre property, and not just the gardens.
