ChampionsGate International Course |
|
This is one of the closest Golf Courses located just couple of miles from Tropical Escape Vacation Homes Windwood Bay neighborhood.
Truly, one of America's Most Distinctive Golf Challenges, ChampionsGate is your must-play golf experience for this year's trip. Greg Norman has designed two signature golf courses just 15 minutes from International Drive. The result is a rare find: Two excellent and very different golf courses on a single site. The International course, which is one of the highest rated courses in Florida, has the look and feel of a links-style layout in the British Isles. The International offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International was designed, constructed and seeded to offer a hard, fast playing surface similar to those found on true links courses. The International, with 18 of the most dramatic and challenging holes in Florida, is destined to rank among the top resort courses in the country.

Legends Golf Course |
|
This new Lloyd Clifton designed course opened in winter of 2001. It is located on Orlando's west side, three miles south of Clermont on US Hwy. 27. Legends is less than a half hour from many parts of Orlando and Kissimmee. This semi-private, upscale beauty has quickly become one of the area's favorites. You will tee off from multi-tiered, elevated tee boxes on to dramatically rolling fairways that feature severe elevation changes with breathtaking, panoramic views of Lake Louisa in the background. Artfully carved from former citrus groves, Legends boasts a multitude of rolling, slanting (some mountainous) tiered fairways, bordered by perimeter mounding that lead to undulating, well-bunkered greens. Water is found on six holes, with several doglegs and challenging, scenic par 3's. The expansive "mountain-top" driving range boasts elevation drops of 75 to 100 feet with brilliant views. Legends' newly opened clubhouse offers a quality pro shop and full-service restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner
